Raise your banner and lead your armies into battle. In BannerRush, you take on the role of a general on a living, ever-changing battlefield.
Every decision matters. With each card you play, you summon warriors, unleash devastating spells, or construct defensive structures that can turn the tide of battle within seconds. Real-time combat meets tactical depth — easy to learn, hard to master.
Whether you perfect your tactics in single-player, challenge friends in local splitscreen, or face opponents from around the world online — BannerRush delivers intense, dynamic battles for every playstyle. Gather resources, react to your enemy’s moves, and constantly adapt your strategy. Hesitate, and you lose — think ahead, and you prevail.
The core of every battle is clear and uncompromising: Destroy the enemy stronghold — and defend your own at all costs.
Send sturdy melee units to the front, position archers for devastating ranged attacks, and unleash powerful spells at the right moment to turn the battlefield in your favor. One well-timed move can turn a lost match into a decisive victory.
BannerRush combines the strategic depth of classic real-time strategy games with the accessibility and excitement of a card game. Six card types are at your disposal:
Every match demands new decisions. No game plays the same. Every battle tells its own story.
Every match demands new choices. No two battles play out the same. Each fight tells its own story.
A BannerRush match unfolds across multiple short rounds. Early rounds start fast and chaotic — Peasants race across the field, grabbing crates and clashing in first skirmishes. As the match progresses, stronger but slower units shift the pace toward tactics. The final rounds bring the full deck, powerful Skillcards, and an escalating score multiplier for an epic finale.
Between each round, a tactical screen opens: Choose a new card for your deck pool and unlock Skillcards with earned XP that can reshape your entire strategy. Do you invest early or save up for more powerful bonuses? Every decision shapes your build — and no match feels like the last one.
Between rounds, you unlock Skillcards with earned XP — passive bonus cards that permanently strengthen your army. More melee damage, extra HP, faster movement, reduced spell costs, or higher resource production — you decide what your build looks like.
Skillcards come in four rarity tiers: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The rarest Skillcards offer game-changing effects — double attack speed, unit duplication, or area damage from every fallen warrior. Inspired by roguelike deckbuilders like Slay the Spire, the system ensures every match produces a different build.
During rounds, color-coded crates spawn as dynamic objectives right on the battlefield. Green crates contain booster effects, blue crates provide bonus resources, red crates offer offensive power-ups — and rare golden crates contain Skillcards or extra card choices.
Crates always spawn as mirrored pairs for fairness. The golden crate? It appears exactly in the center of the field. If you want it, you have to fight for it.
BannerRush features a multi-chapter singleplayer campaign where you fight your way from nobody to ruler. Each chapter brings new challenges, stronger enemies, and more powerful cards. The AI adapts to your playstyle — what worked once won't be enough the next time.
After your first playthrough, ascension levels await with modified rules and tougher opponents. Randomized card and Skillcard offers create different builds each run. What exactly awaits you? That's best discovered for yourself.
Imagine playing Clash Royale — but on a tactical isometric battlefield where positioning truly matters. Now imagine that between rounds, a Slay-the-Spire-style tactical screen opens up, letting you expand your deck and unlock Skillcards that can reshape your entire strategy.
That's BannerRush: real-time action meets strategic deckbuilding — and every match feels different because your build is never the same twice. Players who enjoy Slay the Spire, Into the Breach, Clash Royale, or Fire Emblem will find familiar mechanics in a unique combination.
BannerRush is coming to PC on Steam. A Nintendo console version is also planned. The Steam store page is already live — add BannerRush to your wishlist now and be there when it launches.
